Our Vision

The Find Your Zen Retreat is the introductory retreat to The Soulful Experience, specifically designed for women. We aim to address burnout and overwhelm, guiding participants to become more mindful and intentional in their thinking.

Our goal is to delve into deeper work that fosters greater harmony in their lives while facilitating relaxation and rest. In addition to these transformative topics, we curate and blend fun activities, adventure, community-building experiences, and exposure to nature to create a holistic and enriching retreat.

Find Your Zen, the cornerstone of Soulful Retreats, is about discovering inner peace and balance amidst the chaos of everyday life. It encourages participants to embrace tranquility, let go of stress, and cultivate a deeper connection with their true selves. Through carefully curated activities, wellness workshops and a supportive environment, Find Your Zen helps individuals achieve a state of calm and clarity, fostering personal growth and well-being.

Soul Coaches

Dr. Athena Payne, D.C.

Athena Payne, D.C. is the founder of The Soulful Experience and Rejuvenate Health and Wellness Centers.

She earned her B.S. in Psychology with Master-Level work in Counseling and Experimental Psychology. She also received her doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2010, where she participated in the Clinic Abroad Program in Ecatepec, Mexico, and received the Parker College Alumni Scholarship Award. She has been practicing for 14 years.

Dr. Payne stays ahead of chiropractic trends through postgraduate education in functional medicine, chiropractic neurology, rehabilitation, and nutrition. She is training to become a Scoliosis Specialist and a Brain-Based Chiropractor/Certification in Chiropractic Neurology. She has also taught Human Anatomy and Physiology at Tarrant County Community College. She believes in the importance of the doctor-patient relationship, emphasizing education and patient participation in healthcare. Her approach ensures patients receive extraordinary care and the tools to maintain a healthy body for life.

Dr. Payne also believes in the transformative power of self-discovery and holistic, harmonious living, which has positively changed her own life. She is currently working towards certification as a Brain-Based Neuroscience Coach.

Dr. Payne and her team believe that everyone deserves a chance to access their inner peace and find clarity in their lives. The Soulful Retreats offer a variety of activities designed to help individuals achieve just that. From yoga and meditation to nature walks and journaling, Soulful Retreats provides a holistic approach to healing and self-discovery.

Rhonda Burnell MEd, LPC-S, CCTPII

Rhonda Burnell is a highly skilled trauma therapist with specialized experience in supporting individuals through the challenges of depression, anxiety, and childhood trauma. As the owner of Being Well Counseling Services, PLLC, Rhonda is dedicated to offering compassionate and effective therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique needs.

Rhonda earned her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. Her education has provided a solid foundation in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapies. Over the years, she has honed her expertise in helping clients navigate and heal from complex emotional wounds and psychological distress.

With 15 years in practice, Rhonda has worked extensively with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, and the impacts of early life trauma. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the interplay between past experiences and present well-being.

Rhonda employs various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and personal growth.

Rhonda is recognized for her ability to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences and develop coping strategies for lasting change. Her commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that she remains at the forefront of therapeutic practices and innovations. She believes in the power of community and education to enhance mental health awareness and support.

In her free time, Rhonda enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and spending time with family and friends. She finds these pursuits contribute to her overall well-being and inspire her professional practice.

Tiffenny Montique

Tiffenny Montique is a Life and Health Coach, Yoga and Spiritual Teacher, Reiki Master/Teacher, Author, Speaker, Entrepreneur, and owner of Abhati, LLC, based in Mansfield, TX.

Tiffenny’s journey with yoga began in the late 90s as a method to calm her overactive mind. In 2009, a lumbar spine injury left her unable to walk for over three weeks. Facing possible spinal surgery, she pursued natural healing methods and, through Chiropractic care, Acupuncture, Yoga, and Energy Healing, she regained her health without drugs or surgery. This experience inspired her to share these practices to help others "Live Abhati."

Her passionate and free-spirited teaching style is influenced by Hatha, Yin, and Ayurvedic yoga. She created "Soul Star Journey," a philosophy that integrates yoga, meditation, energy bodywork, and balanced nutrition to help students find their unique balance in life. She also founded the "Zen Education Project," which teaches corporate professionals the importance of relaxing the mind for optimal performance in life and work. With over ten years of experience in yoga and energy work, Tiffenny brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice.

Outside of her professional life, Tiffenny enjoys spending time with her husband, George, and their two dogs, Niko and Ace. She also cherishes moments with her two daughters, Jour’Dan and Morgan, whenever time allows.
