NEW MEMBERS
Our office manager will email you intake forms once you have scheduled an appointment for our consultation and examination. Complete the practice member new patient forms so we can get to know you better. The intake forms will provide information on your health history and your vision for your health. We will use this information to create your customized care instructions.
When you arrive to our office, we want you to feel right at home.
While you wait to begin, please enjoy our hospitality drinks and snacks.
We will then proceed and begin your digital scans along with a medical history review and consultation.
On your first visit, you will meet with Dr. Payne to review your health history to create YOUR VISION of ideal living.
To discover the CAUSE of your chronic pain, she will explain your health assessment process. If you are a chiropractic candidate, the assessment process will include a digital thermal scan of your spine, an EMG (electromyographic scan) of your neck and back, a digital 3D posture scan, digital movement scan, and a digital foot scan (to see if your feet are also contributing to your musculoskeletal discomfort). No radiation is produced with these scans.
If applicable, you will receive a therapeutic treatment at the end of your first visit to begin reducing inflammation and pain in your chief area of complaint. This therapeutic treatment may consist of ultrasound therapy (to reduce inflammation and soften muscular scar tissue), spinal decompression (to reduce pressure in muscles, ligaments, discs), and/or soft-tissue release.
In some cases, going immediately into a chiropractic adjustment is not warranted. A functional nutrition metabolic assessment may be performed if we suspect that nutritional deficiencies or imbalances are contributing to your pain.
If x-rays or an MRI is warranted, we will refer you out to a nearby imaging center.
Plan to spend 1 hour at our office during this visit. The investment for this visit is $100.
During your second visit, the extended consultation, Dr. Payne will share what she has discovered about your health based on your consultation, exams, scans, x-rays (if they were taken) and/or metabolic assessment. From there, she will provide your evidenced-based customized care plan, which is the route for regaining and keeping your health.
During that time she will also share ways in which you can afford your care. We find that it’s much easier to bring your spouse/significant other with you so that they can hear your report concerning your health. As well, it’s best when your spouse/significant other can ask questions if they so desire.
Next, you will be introduced to and experience your first chiropractic adjustment. It's as simple as that!
Plan to spend 30-45 minutes at our office during this visit.
Do you accept insurance? Do you accept Medicare?
Each insurance policy is different, so it is important to know initially if your insurance even covers chiropractic or only offers a limited amount of chiropractic yearly visits.
Because of the limitations of chiropractic coverage on many insurance policies, insurance is not required at our clinic. We are not in-network with any insurance companies except Medicare Part B (please bring your Medicare insurance cards with you on your first visit or email a front and back copy to [email protected]). We do keep our prices similar to that of a copay. We do not file with any Medicare Advantage plans because we are out-of-network with them. If you do have a Medicare Advantage plan, you will be considered a cash-paying patient. You will then be eligible for our affordable treatment plan payment options. Read more about Medicare here.
We do accept FSA and HSA.
Why don't you accept insurance?
What is included in each chiropractic visit?
Because insurance dictates your frequency and number of chiropractic visits, we have found it better to keep our prices similar to that of a copay so you can get the care that you need. In addition, each chiropractic visit will consist of an adjustment and checkup of your spine and your extremities, soft tissue work, manual stretching (when needed), guidance to living a healthier lifestyle, and home exercise prescriptions (with video). Again, we do keep our prices similar to that of a copay.
What is the cost for an initial chiropractic examination and the cost per visit? How often will I have to come?
The initial examination/consultation is $100. The first visit will last from 30 minutes to an hour.
Follow up chiropractic visits are based on your treatment plan. Your evidenced-based customized treatment plan is based on your consultation, medical history, examination results, and your digital scan results from your first visit. Your treatment plan will include treatment frequency and a description of prescribed treatments to get you back to wellness (and to maintain it too).
Why do I have to pay anything if I have Medicare Part B and a supplemental/secondary insurance?
It may seem straightforward, but it is not. Your chiropractic copay may be different than your primary care or specialist copay. Also, you must meet your Medicare deductible of $240 first (annually) before Medicare will pay anything.
Some secondary plans have NO chiropractic coverage or they only follow Medicare guidelines (which is paying for the chiropractic adjustment only). But we can’t be certain until we call to ask. And since it can take us some time to get in contact with your insurance company’s customer service department – it just makes more sense for us to flat rate the initial visit versus guess.
For Medicare regardless, you must pay for the exam, re-evaluations, and any other treatments outside of the chiropractic adjustment.
You won’t be asked to spend another penny with us until the doctor presents your treatment plan which will include your insurance benefit information.
Once we determine if your Medicare will cover certain costs that you have paid for, we can either reimburse you or apply the credit to your account; whichever you prefer.
Are there payment plans available?
We do accept Care Credit and Advance Care Card. Click on either link above to apply.
